Deicer products are special chemicals that prevent snow from sticking to the surface and ice formation in harsh winter conditions. It prevents frost formation on the ground up to -45 ^oC by preventing frost and icing. Its effect lasts for a long time and the product remains on the surface even in heavy traffic conditions. Thanks to the film layer formed after the application, the snow adheres to the surface during precipitation and icing is prevented thanks to the antifreeze effect. It can be used before, during and after snowfall, but application before snowfall is recommended as it will increase efficiency.

The general working mechanism of traditional methods is based on the improvement of friction on the road and materials such as salt, sand, gravel are used for this. This situation does not reduce the accident rate and it is a method that has disadvantages with the use of high amounts of materials and labor costs. Since the amount of salt usage is very high, when the average cost at the end of winter is compared, deicer comes up as an more economical option. In addition, conventional methods are that do not show effectiveness at very low temperatures and they also damaging both the infrastructure and the environment due to their corrosive effect.
