Ozone Disinfection Systems

Ozone (O3), a special form of oxygen, is obtained as a result of the breakdown of oxygen (O2) gas in the air by passing it through a strong electrical field.

Ozone's high oxidation power makes it a very strong disinfectant. Since a single oxygen atom is used for a chemical reaction during the disinfection process, the rest of the ozone molecule turns into oxygen at the end of the process and does not lead to the formation of harmful by-products.
